Okapi Conservation Project (OCP) organized a two-day workshop with all security services in Mambasa, DRC on March 2 & 3, 2016. This meeting addressed current management problems in the Reserve, while clarifying its legal statutes and access to natural resources by local communities. Security service officials including the Army, Police, Intelligence, Immigration and others conveyed their role in and commitment to the preservation of the Okapi Wildlife Reserve (OWR) through legal means and enforcement of existing regulations. Forty-two people actively participated in this two-day session, under the Coordination of the Mambasa Territory Administrator.  To read more click here.
